Saturday afternoon in industrial Milan, Matilda has the small matter of navigating a runway made of 14,800 kilograms of denim scraps whilst wearing 22mm red contact lenses—no sweat! This is Diesel by Glenn Martens and the perfect salve for a frenetic week in Italy. Full of grace, Matilda sees out the occasion with aplomb and an hour later is in the back of a coveted taxi on her way to Paris.

Tuesday in Milan, Luíza has a pair of shows and a pair of fittings to chase them. Stacked back-to-back-to-back-to-back, it’s how fashion week in Italy is done. Walking for Fendi a year after her debut opener and subsequent campaign, this homecoming of sorts is one to savor, and along with an appearance for Marni is the perfect start on the Continent for the Brazilian beauty.

A rainy Wednesday in Milan is plenty dreary, but it’s all rainbows for Divine Mugisha, who is walking in a couple shows. The beauty from Burundi lines up firstly for Alessandro Dell'Acqua's Nº21 and 120 minutes later across town for Etro by Marco de Vincenzo. The joy she exudes is infectious. Whether tucking away a septum piercing moments before hitting the runway or stunting before her iPhone’s front-facing camera, Divine is a most welcome intervention in any fashion week, but especially one in Northern Italy.

NEXT 12 HOURS
“I am not ready for this,” declares Enya Davis, some 14 hours into her Tuesday of Fashion Week with an evening fitting in Brooklyn to come. ”I am tired, but we’re gonna do it because we’re gonna get this show!” She would get that show, Luar in this case, bringing her tally for the week to five and giving her momentum for the coming month.
This episode begins before dawn as Enya piles into the back of a car to make her call time for Brandon Maxwell. She goes on to feature for Carolina Herrera at The Whitney later that afternoon and afterward delights paparazzi walking hand-in-hand with her bestie Nyawurh. Hours later in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Enya fits for Luar, which she confirms.
Indomitable, irreverent, irresistible, Enya Davis has it all to get the show today, the world tomorrow.
NEXT 12 HOURS WITH NYAWURH
“I didn’t realize how major it was until about now.” After months of keeping what probably felt like the biggest ever secret, Nyawurh could finally share her Steven Meisel campaign, and, oh boy, was it major! Photographed this spring, it was something Nyawurh had to keep under wraps all summer long until the photographer’s capsule collection for Zara dropped Friday morning shows began in New York. Now that her shoot was live, Fashion Month could begin in earnest.
This episode like all of Nyawurh’s begins in the early hours as she makes yet another pre-dawn call time. On the day, she walks for Tiffany and Co. at its preview of Blue Book 2023, a high jewelry collection designed by Nathalie Verdeille. An ambitious afternoon ensues with a casting and Jason Wu fitting. Come evening, it’s time to turn it on at the Steven Meisel New York pop-up downtown at 33 Howard Street.
The meteoric rise of Nyawurh Chuol is undeniable. Over three successive seasons this series makes it plain to see, this girl has no ceiling.
NEXT 12 HOURS WITH SASCHA
𝐒𝟓𝐄𝟓 “I love being exclusive for Prada,” confesses Sascha. Having claimed two such exclusives in as many seasons, her pedigree is all but confirmed. Months after being scouted in a Stockholm shopping center, Sascha made her debut last September as a Prada exclusive, followed by another this February in Milan. Since then it’s been work, work, work of the highest calibre yet available to a model just a month shy of 18.
In this episode of NEXT 12 Hours, Sascha embarks on her third show of Paris Fashion Week, the debut collection of Ludovic de Saint Sernin for Ann Demeulemeester. Clad in all black leather and wearing a 12-centimeter heel, Sascha bounds down the runway with a singular purpose that will lead nowhere but the top.
NEXT 12 HOURS WITH BO EXTERS
𝐒𝟓𝐄𝟑 “I don’t know the runway, but we’ll see,” says Bo Exters moments before stepping into the unknown on this final day of Milan Fashion Week. What might have proven daunting was made to look elementary by the Dutch beauty, now in her second full season, as she strode out with confidence for what was the third and ultimate show of her 13 hour and 27 minute day. The same was true throughout the day for all her shows, Bo doesn’t miss a step any more than she does her looks once they drop on Vogue Runway.

NEXT 12 HOURS WITH MATHILDA GVARLIANI
𝐒𝟒𝐄𝟏 Mathilda Gvarliani, that beauty from Tblisi, got her fashion week well and truly underway Friday evening for Fendi, but not before experiencing a full day that included an early morning casting and fitting, Citi Bike ride down 7th Avenue, agency visit, and a whole lot more! Filmed over the course 13 hours and 16 minutes, this episode necessarily exceeded its serial title for the simple fact that Mathilda is superlative. You saw her here first this week, now remember the name Mathilda Gvarliani for the coming weeks and beyond!

NEXT 12 HOURS WITH HOLLY ROSE
𝐒𝟒𝐄𝟐 Holly Rose had never set her heart on living in New York, but then again neither had she on second crack at modeling since debuting as a 16-year-old. A lot has transpired in those intervening years and since walking for Valentino in Rome this July she’s not lost any momentum. Swapping her native Auckland for Gotham came much easier this time around. What’s more, the team behind her is flooring it, which makes for an exhilarating ride, not least for the 12 hours and 31 minutes over which the second episode of this season’s NEXT 12 Hours was filmed.
