PANDEMIC YEAR

In a year dominated by global pandemic, one meting out incalculable loss of human life, any attempt to reasonably reflect on the 12 months of 2020 will necessarily fall short.

All the same, resignation was never an option, not least for anyone connected to NEXT Management. Any responsible address of the year would have to grapple with the adversity, the paralyzing uncertainty, in order to make sense of the successes where and when our talent claimed them.

Goes without saying, the story of 2020 and ultimately the coming of 2021 can really only be told by the talent who call this agency home. Enter Alanna Arrington, Cara Taylor, Coco and Breezy, Anok Yai, Izaak Theo, Grace Elizabeth, Blanca Padilla, and Ava Hariri-Kia, each of whom tells the role she or he played, which when taken whole gives a real sense of what this year has meant in human terms for us as an organization.

Sadly, deaths will continue to rise even despite the successful development and early deployment of vaccines. And for the rest, healthy or otherwise, more uncertainty. This address is not meant to gloss over any of this, rather it is offered with immense gratitude and humility.
